Introducing myself and my journal: Unsung Heroes - at home and abroad

About Me:
I am a former Silicon Valley Venture Capitalist who now lives in Eugene, Oregon. Currently I work as an independent strategy consultant with a focus on helping young technology startups and nonprofit organizations create strong growth strategies and related fundraising plans. I am also a guest lecturer for several of the entrepreneurship courses at the University of Oregon's Business School.

I believe education and entrepreneurship are powerful tools that can build pathways out of poverty and help develop strong stable communities both domestically and internationally. I am particularly passionate about: Educational programs and opportunities for the youth of Sudan (Hope with Sudan and New Scholars) and legal, substance abuse treatment, job training, and reentry services for formerly incarcerated women here in the United States (Board Member of The Portia Project).

My Passions:
Promoting Social Entrepreurship as good business and policy opportunities for communities

My Areas of Expertise:
Organizational Strategy and Fundraising
