About Me:
World’s Children has cared for orphans and destitute children around the world for 47 years. We provide food, shelter, healthcare, education, safety, and love for 1,200 children in 48 children’s homes in India, the Philippines, Kenya, Mexico, and Guatemala.
World’s Children assists the most desperate children. We support orphans, semi-orphans, homeless, abandoned, and abused children. Many are girls from impoverished families where they are not loved or wanted simply because they are girls. We also care for children with HIV/AIDS and children who are victims of war.
I am currently the program director at World's Children (one of only three employees), and love the fact that I get to be a part of such a genuine, grassroots organization. Last year I completed my master's in International Health, with a focus in medical anthropology (more specifically, on gender disparities in South Asia, so World Pulse is right up my alley!). Looking forward to getting involved with this community, and making connections with others working for women all over the world!
