About Me: I am currently working as the Program Associate for the Program on Human Rights at Stanford University. My research focuses on the connections between regional and cross-border irregular migration practices, gender dynamics and human trafficking in East and Southeast Asia. I investigate the specific issue of trafficking Burmese women and children into the marriage market of Yunnan Province, China. More generally, I am passionate about meaningful women's employment, and ending the stigma against women who have been forced into trafficking situations.
