IT IS DIFFERENT ON THE OTHER SIDE.

Hello everyone,

I am Jeannette, a young lady from Rwanda, Africa. Joining World Pulse is something that I have found to be amazing since we all have our own stories to tell and different ways of expressing them. Last year I got an opportunity to attend the Youth Connekt Africa and I realized that things are different when you are given or get the chance to experience them.

During that time, I met different people of course with different culture, minds, preferences, etc and I learned different things from them but... I also learned a lot about myself as well. If you could actually experience those things that you consider to be your passion then don't hesitate to go ahead and explore. I have know that I've always wanted to help people when I grow up and am a grownup now but I have always been questioning how do I go ahead and help different people both mentally and by providing them with materials that they need in accordance to what I have. I found a solution to that when I met a girl during Youth Connekt last year because she had also started helping different people through an organization in Cameroon. From then had the courage to go and help different people by organizing different events once in a while and am telling the joy that comes from doing what you love or are passionate about is one of the things that you wouldn’t want to miss out on.

Here's the thing...do not fear people's words of criticism about you because whatever you do be it good or bad, people will always talk about you. Behind that fear, behind those endless voices that keep telling you to not do that, to not put that idea into action lies lessons, improvement, success and amazing stories of you and others that will be impacted by the work. Seeing people thrive and live happily isn't something that would make you feel bad, so if you to carry something out and you know that it will be positively impactful to different people's lives and, I have a question for you. What's stopping you? I mean...what exactly is stopping you from starting, what’s stopping you from resuming from where you left of? Go ahead...go anhead and do it, whether you have to start or continue from where left off from.

Am telling you, never tell yourself that you are waiting for a certain time to come for you to carry out a given activity. We learn along the way and with time we correct the mistakes that we did. We never stop learning as the saying goes. This world itself is a school, it's a class that you have to attend every single day as long you are blessed enough to still be breathing. That’s the reality of life and you've got to acknowledge that regardless. Whether you want it or you don't, that’s it. The harsh truth, the harsh reality that you really have to accept that will eventually mould you and shape you into a person that you will eventually become.

The people that will have been talking bad about you, criticizing you, telling lies about you, wishing bad about you will at some degree applaud for you whether they want it or not. In the end it's about you and your goals, what you are after and what inspires you, what they know or what they don't, what you've been through and what you are yet to go through, the list goes on. You are the one that knows your goals and you know far better than they do, so don't hesitate and don't keep yourself waiting. You don't deserve that, you deserve better.

From doing that, you learn and you grow.
