Seeking
Connections
Hello my lovely World Pulse sisters!
It’s been a while since I came back here after leaving to the Netherlands in 2022 to pursue my Masters; but I have carried you with me as I traversed this journey across the world.
It’s been a wild ride to say the least, starting from the courses I took at University to the kind of connections I made in the new strange land. I learnt a lot, I unlearnt a lot. Yet, in all these times, in the darkest of days, and in brightest of summers, your words of hope and encouragement stayed in my heart and helped me pave my way forward.
With this place we are at in the world, the power of a sisterhood is ever more special. The lessons from your work and activisms I saw during the Ambassador calls and Encourager Parties have been instrumental in ways I cannot put to words. Studying about various feminist movements in the Global South, about women being peace mediators in conflict zones, and the climate actions amplifying the lived realities and traditional knowledge of indigenous people, kept bringing me back to the work of different World Pulse sisters that I’ve already had the privilege to learn from.
Though I came in to say I missed you all, I also came in to convey the immense gratitude I hold for each and every one of you in all the work you do to fight against a world that is continuously testing our strength and resilience.
In the face of a global crisis against gender and climate inequality, we all are carrying immense weight in our hearts, mind, and body; but with each step taken backwards, I trust in steps we take forward together as a collective!
It feels like I’ve come back home, and I cannot wait to slowly catch up on all the missed stories in the time I’ve been gone!
