Jane Doe Diaries

Jane Doe Diaries is intended to be a non-profit that teaches women and girls from the rural area how to write well, connects them with national and international mentoring, funding, training and networking opportunities, and helps them get their voices and stories out in the wider public. In the first five years, I'd love to help at least 50 women from the rural area to author and publish their first books/creative works (CDs, videos, etc). It's a way of speaking out, expressing self, as well as earning an income for them, while growing and being empowered. In this way, we will champion the cause of literacy, especially digital literacy, and authentic, creative self-expression and empowerment.
