JUSTICE FOR CWECWE

Justice for Cwecwe

The recent case of little Cwecwe, the South African young girl, is devastating. She was sent to school to reap the best from life, and while at it, she met a monster who devoured her like she didn’t matter just because she was black. Cwecwe's dignity was stripped off mercilessly.

Recently, the South African streets have been filled with people advocating for the justice of the little girl. A crime is a crime, and nobody should get away with it. Rape is a crime against humanity, an injustice to womanhood, a murder of dreams, and a thief of dignity.

The suspected perpetrator is white, and they are not only advocating for Cwecwe’s justice but also the end of racism in South Africa, which is a barrier to getting the deserved Justice and a factor in determining how one is treated.

Dear women, I urge us to join the movement for Justice for Cwecwe because she deserves it. At just 7, her innocence has been snatched. Let's sign the petition to complete her justice process.

We are women, and we should be united by our womanhood and not let the differences in race, religion, class, or anything else divide us. Let's redefine humanity and our togetherness, and we will realize the changes we yearn for.

Cwecwe. 's mother was brave enough to come out kudos to her but some parents are unable to seek justice because of financial strains and the threats passed across by the perpetrators. Silence in the cases of defilement encourages the perpetrators to keep doing it because they have been empowered. No child or woman deserves to be treated brutally by any man.

RAPE IS CRIME. Stop gender-based violence, stop racism. We are all human with equal chances, and nobody is better than the other; every life matters. We refuse the cutting short of dreams, endless trauma, depression, and deaths meted on women through rape. Nobody deserves such torture.

@Justice for Cwecwe

@End gender-based violence

@End racial discrimination
