KASHMIR AND THE SILENT WORLD

Kashmir and the Silent World

I am Kashmir, caged in August.

I am Kashmir, bruised in September.

I am Kashmir, starved in October.

I am Kashmir, dragged in Indian Union.

I am Kashmir, kept in extreme darkness in November.

I am Kashmir, confined in my house in chilly winter.

I am Kashmir, throttled by the dictators of this time.

I am Kashmir, a living prison, a deathtrap.

I am Kashmir, alive under 98 days of siege.

I am Kashmir, talked, discussed and then left.

I am Kashmir, pictured, watched and forgotten.

I am Kashmir, decorate in headlines with blood.

I am Kashmir, my mention increases TRPs

I am Kashmir, my oppressors get political mileage.

I am Kashmir, my blood quenches your thirst.

I am Kashmir, my mothers sobbing silently.

I am Kashmir, the tyrants trying to Sanskritized my name.

I am Kashmir, my name shall soon vanish in thin air.

I am Kashmir, to be christened Patel, Gandhi and so on.

I am Kashmir, my sighs will ruin your history forever.

I am Kashmir, I won’t be defeated by your malicious plans.
