Online bullying and love trapping are harsh realities Pakistani women face daily. Here's a collection of facts highlighting the issue:

Online Bullying:

- *40% of women in Pakistan have been victims of cyberbullying*, facing sexual harassment, blackmailing, hate speech, stalking, identity theft, and physical threats.

- Women are often targeted for speaking out on social media, especially on sensitive topics like women's rights and politics.

- Cyberbullying can lead to severe psychological and physical impacts, including anxiety, depression, and even suicidal thoughts.

- *72% of women in Pakistan are unaware of cyber laws* and how to file complaints, making it difficult for them to seek protection.

Love Trapping:

- Love trapping is a form of emotional manipulation where men use coercive control, gaslighting, and emotional abuse to dominate their partners.

- Men use social media just for their pleasure, thrill and timepass purpose . They use women as a toy and adventure. Women get attached to them sincerely while men never get involved in women. They give false hopes of marriage to women and then reject them , break them to pieces 💔. This results in severe deterioration of mental health, anxiety, panic attacks occurring at night , depression, suicidal thoughts coming to mind and suicidal attempts by some women.

- *Men often use social media to monitor and control their partners*, restricting their online interactions and freedom.

- Love trapping can lead to physical violence, with many women facing sexual abuse and even murder.

- Women often feel trapped in these relationships due to societal pressure, fear of family rejection, and lack of support.

Statistics:

- *37% of women globally have faced online harassment*, with many experiencing severe forms of abuse.

- *25-26% of young women have been stalked online* and faced sexual harassment.

Laws and Initiatives:

- Pakistan has laws like the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (Peca) to curb online harassment, but implementation remains a challenge.

- The National Commission on the Status of Women is working to raise awareness and provide support for victims.

- *Awareness campaigns and education are crucial* to address the issue and promote online safety.
