I’ve learned that it’s much more than that. Self-care means listening to my body, protecting my peace, and giving myself the same kindness I offer to others.
Right now, I take care of myself by setting boundaries, spending quiet time alone, and journaling my thoughts. I also try to eat healthy and get enough sleep, although it’s not always perfect.
Moving forward, I hope to do more physical activities like walking or yoga and spend less time on my phone. I want to give more time to myself, without guilt. I’m learning that I don’t have to earn rest or love. I deserve it just because I exist.
Self-care is not selfish. It’s necessary. And I’m finally learning to give myself that care, little by little.
