Literature Review is in Progress

I am in the process of working on the Literature Review, which is an overdue first step.

I was not aware of how prevalent the issue of housing instability and homelessness was among women and children in Trinidad and Tobago. I decided to implement this initiative, drawing on my experience of being homeless and displaced, listening to the stories of women from various communities, and noticing that there was no care-centered response to low-income women and those experiencing violence who were homeless.

Since posting this initiative, the response has been overwhelming, and I had to take some time off and pause. I also underestimated the time and resources needed for such a project. I have already spoken to over 20 women who have expressed interest in this project, and numerous leaders of NGOs who serve families and women who experience violence have expressed interest in participating.

I am excited to see what the review unearths.
