Lobbyist at Work; Change Agent at Heart

Greetings to You All,

I am a newcomer to World Pulse. I am a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother. I am a triathlete. And I love John Coltrane’s rendition of “My Favorite Things.”

I am principal of BMI & Associates, an Issues Management firm with offices in Atlanta, Georgia and Washington, DC. BMI’s affiliate office is located in Cape Town, South Africa. My passion is helping communities/organizations grow their pipeline of female leaders. I bring the expertise I’ve gained from my 25 years providing technical assistance (reporting and research techniques to help organizations deliver better results); campaign, communication strategies, policy development and; leadership development – workshops and consulting on how to develop, retain and engage women leaders.

I’ve lived/worked in 4 countries across North America, Europe and Africa. My published articles and essays convey my passion to build equitable, inclusive and safe communities.

My commitment to build a strong productive role for marginalized communities has led me to serve on several boards promoting economic development, legal rights and leadership training. As a mentor, I strive to develop leaders steadfast in their mission to build equitable and healthy communities. To this end, I am a perennial student in my leisure, seeking to master an understanding of the mind-body connection. I believe the mind and body are interdependent, changes in one cause changes in the other.

My educational credentials include a Juris Doctor degree and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.

I look forward to a prolific exchange of information/expertise which in some way will make the world a better place for women and girls.
