Looking at 2025 with Hope

The year 2024 was a difficult year for my country. From the hike in fuel prices to the incessant increase in goods and services. This turn of events left many homes devastated as it was difficult for some families to eat three meal a day. Many suffered health challenges because of the hardship and some even died because their hearts could not handle the stress. 😢😢😢

The hardship did not stop the attacks on community by unknown gunmen. Many were kidnapped and forced to pay a ransome because our leaders have failed to protect us. Many marriages were tested as family needs increased, so did the quest for parents to work hard grew. Children were left at the mercy of older siblings as paying for child care has become expensive and sometimes children are open to abuse of all kinds.

The year 2024 is gone but it memories still lingers. Many are still trying to recuperate from the effects of the challenges faced. Some are still skeptical about the new year and what it holds.

As the year 2025 unfolds, I see hope, I see a light at the end of the the tunnel. No matter how dim the lights may seem, I am hopeful for a better economy, a peaceful community and the fulfilment of dreams. Once there is life, there is hope and I choose HOPE!
