Lucky and blessed to be jamaican

I honestly feel like being born in Jamaica is a blessing!

My energy could have been sent anywhere, but I was sent here and I am eternally Greatful to the cosmos for the opportunity to experience life here on earth, here.

I was born in rural St. Ann in what is considered the Garden Parish to a humble and patient Mother who loved people and nature, as a matter of fact I was conceived on a "nature walk" and I surmise I am a "victim of my circumstance" as being outside is one of my favorite places to be.

Growing up picking coffee berries, going to the River to wash and bath, doing the Maypole dance at the Town's Fair one Sunny day in August has really given me a deep appreciation for my native country.

Geographically I am not far from any where and our society is fairly modern and progressive.

Our political climate is another thing entirely 🙄 so let's focus on the brighter side of my beautiful country Shall we.

I mean, the island's beauty and impact are world renowned.

We have managed to leave an indelible mark in all arenas that we fancy. People the world over just want to know a jamaican just to be able to experience our culture in some way, shape or form.

We don't have many snakes, we don't have Bears, Wolves or Tarantillas, just Fortylegs and fake Black Widows!

We don't have Snow, it's either Rain,Sunshine or both!

The climate is amazing, the air is especially fresh if you live in the hills. Fruit trees abound and birds of all sizes roam freely.

Jamaica is a dream!

Beautiful Beaches, meandering Rivers, cascading Waterfalls, Healing mineral Springs, magnificent Mountain Ranges, great food and great music.

The night life across the island's landscape is commendable as we are know for our colourful Clubbing and Dancehall scenes.

Our shores have also hosted many a top productions such as Air Jamaica Jazz and Blues , Sun Splash, Sunfest and Stepping HIgh Ganja fest.

I could go on and on,

our people are among the most distinguished, accomplished and decorated!

Marcus Garvey, Bob Marley, Louise Bennet Coverly, usain Bolt, to name a few .

everything about Jamaica is simply magical! From the way we carry our selves to the way we represent our country! Excellence is our hallmark!

I give thanks for being born in my island paradise: Jamaica !
