Michelle Bachelet : first visit in Peru lead UN WOMEN

Share with you a little reflection (and my surprise) for the little publicity and convoke about the visit of M. Bachelet to Peru (who accompanied Hillary.Clinton), in a two-day journey organized by the Government., the last week

One day before and the day that they were already in Lima, some women and men (specially who are social leaders or members of NGO involved in gender agenda, called me to ask about this visit, and I really have no more information, because apparently there have been few women's organizations with the opportunity to access in the events.

UN Women and the diversity of peruvian movement lost a valuable opportunity to mobilize, debate and generate support for our agenda and also for this new entity UN Women.

UN Women had the support of many women, some of us throug GEARCAMPAIGN, where we could to involve in the process and efforts in national and international spheres to advocacy to UN.

Maybe Michelle will return to Peru on another occasion, and will be a great opportunity to give her a friendly host and promote the brotherhood among all Peruvians.

solo compartirte una reflexión y mi extrañeza por la poca publicidad y convocatoria ´previa alrededor de la visita de M. Bachelet a Perú, que acompaño a H.Clinton, en una jornada de dos dias organizada por el Gobierno.

Un dia antes y el dia que que ya estaban en Lima, no se imaginan la cantidad de mujeres y hombres, que me llamaban para

preguntarme sobre esta visita, y yo la verdad sin tener mucho que responder, pues al parecer han sido pocas las organizaciones de mujeres que lograron acceder a algunos de los eventos.

Una pena pues fue una oportunidad valiosa para movilizar, debatir y generar apoyo para nuestra agenda, para los desafios de las peruanas, y tambien para esta nueva entidad ONU MUJERES. Dicho sea de paso, que esta nueva entidad desde su idea e incidencia previa, conto con el apoyo de muchas mujeres, algunas de las que estuvimos desde el 2007 en la red GEAR desde la que compartimos con todas/os información sobre el proceso y los resultados de estas gestiones.

Ojalá Michelle vuelva al pais en otro ocasión, y que ello sea motivo para una gran acogida y hermandad de y entre todas las peruanas.
