I am a writer, poet, and mother who is passionate about people, animals, politics and our planet. I wrote this poem two years ago as I struggled to comprehend what we are doing to the Earth...our home.
Mother Nature’s Wrath
by Asherah
As we continue down this path
We observe Mother Nature’s wrath.
Her body is ravaged
As we annihilate and damage
All that she is
All that she was
All that she could be.
We tear her apart
And rip open her heart.
We pollute her seas
Unable to breathe
She screams from beneath
And erupts.
Hurricanes explode
Earthquakes unfold
A site to behold.
Mother! Oh please!
We’ve got no where to flee.
Destined to be
Planetary refugees.
