MY BEST FRIEND - WEB WHICH HELPED ME TO DREAM BIG

UNBELIVABLE BUT TRUE
I was born up in a family where my mother was uneducated by she always wanted me to study although financial issues, but as she was not educated she used to stich clothes so that she can pay my school fees and Books. Her support and motivation helped me grow and after completing my schooling I started taking tutions so that i can support her so started looking for a job, when i moved for intereviews i was questioned what was my computer knowledge and education. Here i realized that i don't know about computer and work on internet. I tried looking for institution where I can learn computers and internet, but the fees was too high & i could not find job.
One fine day my friend suggested to go to cyber cafe and try learning myself computer and i felt it was a joke but after few days tried to try it and started going to cyber cafe. Started from google opening files, to searching tools, to creating ppt to writing letters on word document.. all this was possible because of google, any thing came into my mind and I started searching it on web and i used to get answers for it and in 4 months of spam i learnt a lot in computers and i got my first job in a media house one of the leading newspaper in Rajasthan. and there after moved on and on. Today I am used to computers and digitalization & work with one of the best Telecom Industry in technology function handling rajasthan operations in India.
Internet played an important role in my life! if u see accross my laptop or mobile u will find web into it.. But how it changed my life.
I got married in 2008, but i wanted to work for society along with my work & was worried if i will get support from my Inlawas. My Mother in Law who educated, supported me. But she used to see me working on laptops and used to question what i used to do, but when i told her the importance of computer and net she started supporting me in my work. She always motivated me in my work to work in various slum areas for children and women accross to support them for their overall development. But on December 2012 - Delhi Rape case shattered me out marking up a question to me when a girl aged 12 years asked me a question whis is nirbhaya and what happened to her and what does rape mean, why was the girl beaten? This was the day I took an aim to bring awareness among adolscent girls and womens accross the community and here was the need to educate them but again the question came HOW?
When I approached women cells and prominent speakers accross the community asking their help to conduct awareness session for girls at schools, they denined as they needed money for it and here i lacked! Than I strongly decided to manage and conduct the sessions myself and than started searching the web to understand the terms and meaning of various issues and how to overcome it and internet played an important role through It i prepared a powerpoint presentation with pictures & videos talking and displaying issues accross the community to educate the girls how to be safe in name of JAGRITI - THINGS TO REMEMBER!
On april 2013 i got registered an NGO in name of PraveenLata Sansthan (which was formed in name of my mother and mother in law who passed away in 2012) & started working for children and women accross communities. I started up conducting workshops for adolscent girls & women in name of Jagriti speaking up about issues like domestic violence, child abuse, child marriage, etc & how to protect ourself and take right step when required through Projector (digitzlization) showing them online videos on the issues accross the community and how to overcome it. As it is always stated " A PICTURE IS WORTH THOUSAND WORDS" & here came the time for action in 1 year spam conducted many workshops for adolscent girls and womens in the community touching more than 1000 girls.
If internet would have not been it could not have been possible for me to design Jagriti Workshop.
For me WEB is my best Friend as it is always there for me supporting evertime and has led me towards a path of success and the NGO work i am doing
