My contribution in Parenting and child protection in my society

After completing my degree in social work in 2011 my desire was  to use my knowledge to  provide support to the wider community hence launched Raising Up Friendship talk show in 2015 as a parenting and a child protection  program as well as gender based violence advocacy. The show is aired at one of the popular Tv Chanel ten with more than 6 million viewers. The show has been accepted by the Tanzanian society and viewers ,The number of viewers are increasing day after day. As the demand increase I have also  found a way of involving children directly hence I started a training program for children that help enhance Life skills program . With this program for Children  I am  training on how they overcome challenges when they are growing up  and  how to cope with the challenge of life while enjoying their childhood. In other words I see my self as  the ambassador and voice of children in my society. 

During my social work practices and experiences  I decided to join school of Journalism where I acquired knowledge and skills to advocate social welfare services to marginalized  and vulnerable groups. Using media I  developed skills  and wider support to issues related to  gender based violence and Violence against children.  I became an activist, children rights defender, feminist, movie producer, philanthropist and entrepreneur which also improved the  ways to transmit messaged according to  audience.  After five years I found an NGO  that  is called  Raising Up Friendship Foundation ( RUFFO)  which aims at building skills on  Parenting, child protection, mental health and Psychosocial support to individuals, families and communities at large. 

Activism, Charity and Awards:  Currently am a  dedicated activist for children and women’s rights; Child consultant and MHPSS practitioner. as I experienced on emergencies and diseases such as  COVID 19, many people affected  and infected by the disease were in need of these support. i won a SHE AWARD AFRICA 2021 as a social founder of the year over 30 .
