My Journey of Growth in Education and Technology

As an educator and computer science engineer, I’ve always believed in the power of learning—both for my students and myself. This module has been an important milestone in my professional development journey. It helped me pause and reflect: Where am I now? Where do I want to go? And what can I do to get there?

Where I Am in My Journey

Right now, I’m in a stage of growth and exploration. I have several years of experience in teaching, workshop facilitation, and integrating innovative technologies like AI, AR, and VR into classrooms. I’ve been fortunate to receive recognition for my efforts—from “Teacher of the Month” to presenting student achievements in national competitions.

But I’m not done learning.

Areas I Want to Improve

While I’ve become confident in delivering lessons and engaging students creatively, I’ve identified four key areas I want to grow in:

Collaboration with Colleagues: I want to contribute more actively to my professional learning community, share my ideas, and also learn from others’ practices.

Overcoming Overthinking: Sometimes, I spend too much time perfecting an idea before trying it. I’m learning to take more risks and trust my instincts.

Work-Life Balance: Giving time to myself is something I’ve overlooked. Recharging is not just okay—it’s necessary.

What I’m Doing About It

Professional Development: I completed this module and am actively participating in other training sessions, including those certified by KHDA (like my TOT certificate).

Building Resources: I’m updating my CV and crafting more tailored cover letters, using the tips from Lesson 1 and 2.

Reflecting and Practicing: From the interview lesson, I realized how much storytelling and clarity matter. I’ve started practicing answers and recording myself to improve.

Learning from Others: I’ve joined educator communities online (like World Pulse!) to exchange ideas and grow my network.

This journey isn’t just about ticking boxes or collecting certificates—it’s about becoming a better educator and leader, so I can inspire my students to dream bigger, code smarter, and care deeper.
