My safety as a woman is not guaranteed

story
I had left from my work place and was returning home when a bike stopped in front of me. On the bike were two men and they started interviewing me about where I am coming from and where I was going to. I am a young Cameroonian who is caught up inside the armed conflict and socio political crisis. In my city in Bamenda, if a bike stops in front of you with two young men you will begin to panic because you don’t know what will happen to you next. In a very busy street but it becomes less busy just when you are in need because everyone is trying to safe their own life. They young men took my phone and searched through it, looking for what I don’t know. They asked me to support them or I climb on the bike and follow them to where I don’t know. The most horrible thing is that at that time I did not have a dime except for my transport so this was the dilemma. They held me hostage for over an hour before letting me go. The kinds of chills I felt that day I never want to feel it again. However this is not the only scenario where my safety as a woman is having a question mark.
