My Story

Hi! My name is Madeline Joyner. I have been a sexual and domestic abuse victim. I have been free from the abuse for over 7 years now. I use my past to work towards helping other children and women in ways that I was not. No one saved us. I'm a guardian ad litem volunteer and an A21 volunteer as well. My passion is helping others and working towards a world where abuse is no longer an issue.

I grew up with and basically raised my two younger brothers. Today, we bond over our traumas and the issues we faced together. Seven years ago, I was given my oldest daughter. She changed me entirely. Instead of staying in the darkness, she brought me to the light. I promised myself that I would do everything in my power to keep children safe. In any way that I could. I now have another daughter and a son. I have two cats, one dog, and I'm going to be fostering more soon. Speaking of fostering, I will begin foster parent classes in February of 2025 (on my birthday). I love plants, reading, and connecting with people that have similar passions.
