My Story

Hello World Pulse Community!

My name is Meylai Mphepo, and I’m excited to finally share my voice here. I joined World Pulse because I believe in the power of stories to connect people, inspire change, and remind us that we’re not alone in our journeys. I’m hoping to learn from other women’s experiences, share my own, and build meaningful connections that go beyond borders.

I live in Malawi, a country known as the Warm Heart of Africa. My favorite thing about my community is the resilience and kindness of the people. Even in times of hardship, there is always a spirit of togetherness and hope that inspires me.

My passion lies in technology and women's empowerment. I’m motivated by the dream of helping others especially young people and women find opportunities to grow and create better futures either for women or girls to join the space of technology. What inspires me most are the small acts of courage I see every day, whether it’s a girl going to school against all odds, or a community coming together to solve a problem.

As for my name, I was named after my grandmother, and it carries the meaning of growth, strength and wisdom. I carry it with pride because it reminds me of where I come from.
