My Voice Is No Longer Alone: How world pulse Gave Me Wings
I never imagined that a single comment on a story I wrote could awaken something that had been asleep inside me for so long. I used to move through the sorrows of war in my country, carrying people’s pain on my shoulders and trying to offer them a small ray of hope — with a broken heart, but a determined spirit. I only had faith that what we plant with words can grow into peace in the lives of women.
When I received words of appreciation from world Pulse
after winning the “Outstanding Story” award, I felt my heart dance with joy. It was a happiness I hadn’t felt since the war began three years ago. That moment was more than recognition — it was the spark that revived my thirsty soul.
Through world pulseI found sisters walking the same path — women who believe in change just as I do. These connections weren’t mere partnerships; they were bridges of hope where we exchanged knowledge, support, and inspiration. The platform became a true space for me to express myself, learn, and transform my individual voice into a message that reaches far beyond the borders of my homeland.
I learned, through the available trainings, how words can become tools of empowerment and how stories can open doors. I gained skills in artificial intelligence and discovered ways to access UN agencies I had once reported on. Most beautifully, I met inspiring women from Nigeria, the Philippines, Canada, the United States, and South Africa — women who supported me as if they had known me for years. That sense of belonging to a sincere and genuine community gave me the strength to keep going.
For so long, I had written from a heavy heart. But on this platform, it felt as though the universe itself could taste my words. My poetry grew wings. Inspiration returned after a long silence. It wasn’t just a passing moment — I published my first poetry collection in a beautiful celebration among poets, writers, and artists. Now, I am preparing my second collection and a novel that carries my voice — and the voices of many women like me.
For me, world puls is more than a platform; it’s a home for my voice, a safe space for my dreams, and a bridge connecting me to women who share my path. It reminded me that light is born from beneath the rubble, and that when women come together, we can build hope and change the world — step by step, story by story.
