As they are the most charming person you will ever meet and also the most romantic dates ,during the love bombing phase , the charm ,fatal attraction they have is irresistible.And moreover they erode your self esteem that you start living in eggshells and in survival mode.

And yes once you start to heal , suddenly the music / lyrics play and remind you of the charming dates love and life you had dreamt of .As they sell the sweetest dream which turns out to be a nightmare. And you start questioning your own self about what he was ,/ her  what was his/ her  true personality. Then you have got yourself or come back to the reality of that charming  abuser : The toxic monster you saw in the end was the true colour.

This also reminds of a famous song from serial : "Kyunki saas bhi kabhi Bahu thi " which every family used to see and Smriti Irani Mam opens the door singing : Rishton ke roop badalte hain & with the narcissists partner it's like INKE bhi Roop Badalte Hain.You never know what's happening behind closed doors.

And I wrote He/ she both because Men also suffer but they do so in silence.

Secondly It becomes very difficult for him/ her to explain to the  society that he/ she is an abuser .

and in our society it's important to make CHAAR LOG understand that he is the most charming and helpful man for you / or she is the sanskari bahu for you.But what happens behind closed doors no one knows and wounds are deeper.

So once you leave never go back .

Always remember once an abuser is always an abuser.And these chaar log were silent when you were suffering So
