Leonida joined World Pulse in 2008, already a seasoned activist with a passion for empowering marginalized groups, her first post describing her determination that widows have property and inheritance rights and respect. This many years later her recent post shares with us all one of the most comprehensive papers written on all of the forms that continue to be used to exploit women and girls in particular.
This is a piece of work that I hope she has many opportunities to deliver to create the changes that are so blatantly being suppressed, and that all of us will learn, repeat and carry forward as we speak out.
It is an honour to nominate Leonida for a World Pulse Spirit Award.
