Not A Traditional War Story

Light blue background. On the left, two black girls wearing a white shirts saying (in blue) “Remember our past”. On the right, in white, the title of the project “Not a traditional war story. Women, peace and war”

Have you ever asked yourself the question «where are the women?» while watching pictures of peace talks? I asked myself the same question and this is what brought me to study and to conduct an empirical research on women’s participation in peacebuilding processes and, after, to open this platform.

Women are and have always been at the diplomatic tables and in peacebuilding and here I want to talk about their stories.

Here you can find:

  1. Research-based articles on women’s participation in peacebuilding and in armed conflicts;
  2. Analysis of peace processes and armed conflicts through a feminist and gender lens;
  3. Stories of women peacebuilders and fighters;
  4. Promotion of works and projects by feminist movements for peace;
  5. Learning materials and useful links.
