Vanishing Point II
Playing footsies in the sand, all three kids have their toes painted. The Azalea's on mine have nearly faded, they should it's been since Christmas. Bennett knows that boys don't paint their nails, his whimsey rules. I can see my Vanishing Point-where the ocean meets the horizon. It used to be a prayerful space empty of things, yet full of mystery. Today it is Japan. I have learned some Ka-Ra-TE, Japanese math. I am a toddler of the language, yet I find myself with an Asian mother. We are walking around the market. we buy fresh fish and melons. As we ready to leave she runs back quickly to pick up some folding papers. There will be a banquet she says, and we will make baskets. The man at the home at which I stay is of European descent. He speaks fluent English and Japanese, after the baskets we do Japanese math and take a walk.
