Our Future

My vision for my life right now is that I’d like to establish my own girls’ leadership academy; where young girls from grade 7 to first year in university will be mentored and taught on how to be a young woman in today’s dynamic society-everything from A-Z about being a modern young woman.

What I have right now is a rough sketch of what this academy will encompass, but the plan is really thought out.Atleast young women back then had their mothers and grandmothers to help them build a family and a future upon what they were taught before embarking on life, but today what is left of that? That is why I’ve thought of something of this fashion. Girls will be taken from various schools, brought into this academy and shown the tools of womanhood and taught on how to use them by qualified people of the same caliber-women.

In being a correspondent for Voices of Our Future I would be able to not only have this academy serve its nearest communities but also serve outside of its boundries,led and established by a person who only has the well being and independence of women at her heart-me!

I believe that something like this if successfully established, it would benefit society a lot-it would be building a new society on top of a solid foundation of women who understand what it means to live in complex society where you are trying to make your voice heard across nations.
With the tools that Voices of Our Future has equipped me with this Academy/institution could take flight in the near future.
We need women who will keep the fire of womanhood burning in the world, long after we’re all gone and the world and the status of women are left in their own hands, and my academy, I believe can do exactly that.

I too might bring girls into this world, and I need them to fend for themselves and not be victims to stereotypes who live in the here and now; and Voices of Our Future can help me do just that, not only for my daughters but for each and every living and breathing woman who graces this earth with her presence.

It is up to us to leave a lasting legacy for the future generation, and live our lives as women to the fullest!!!
