when there is peace, there is freedom
Peace is Freedom
Peace for me is freedom. Not the exact definition, but for me peace is freedom. Freedom in mind, freedom in spirit, and freedom in the heart. Every now and then, when I look at the sky, animals, and birds, I see them living in this world with me, living fully. That, for me, is a reminder.
I believe peace is only genuine if it includes freedom. The absence of fighting does not necessarily mean there is peace. As a young woman, I feel peace when I take my own decisions, follow my dreams, and do what I want to do personally. My personal freedom is my inner peace.
I think this is because of the environment I grew up in a place where freedom is not welcomed and where unspoken laws must be followed. When I was young, I behaved and did everything my brothers did playing outside, sharing responsibilities at home and my parents treated us the same way. I am so proud to have them, truly.
But as years passed and I stepped into the world of work, things became different. I started hearing questions and pressure from people who don’t realize it’s okay to be different. When I said “no,” they asked “why” over and over again. I decided not to explain anymore. Now I simply live my day and avoid those conversations, or I quietly walk away.
Long story short, I truly wish in my heart that every human being could live for themselves, be who they are, and celebrate diversity all the different personalities, life choices, and passions. The result would be something so beautiful, never heard or seen before. Every person would be happy, at least with peace of mind, and there would be a huge, positive energy covering the world.
What needs to change is this- we must try to look inside others that may be their intentions, their inner beauty and focus on making true soul connections. Even the word “friends” could be replaced by “soul connections,” because that is what it means to truly know each other. We must also establish laws and policies that encourage human connection, kindness, and respect. That is all we long for to be respected and at peace with our community.
I share this not just as my belief, but as an invitation. May we all work toward a world where peace means freedom for every person
Peace is freedom. I hope to be free from every cell in my body.
