Period Awareness Day

National Period Day | October 19th 🌸

For generations, women have been told to stay silent about their cycles. Too many have been dismissed as “dramatic” when their distress was in fact rooted in biology, not weakness. The result has been stigma, shame, and a lack of dignity in how menstrual and mental health are understood.

Today, on Period Awareness Day, we say: the silence stops here.

Innovations like HealCycle, created by young changemaker Ananya Grover, are helping to reframe menstrual health as holistic. It’s not just about pads or products — it’s about hormones, emotions, energy, dignity, and mental wellbeing. By naming PMS and PMDD, by linking hormonal shifts to mood, and by creating safe spaces for women to be heard, we begin to break stigma and build solidarity.

This is not just an app or a campaign — it’s part of a larger movement to ensure women’s health is respected in full. When we share our stories, we make invisible struggles visible. When we speak, we create space for others to step forward.

✨ Bleed. Feel. Matter. ✨

đź’¬ Your voice matters. Share with us:

- What has helped you feel seen, supported, or understood during your cycle?

- How can we, as a global community of women and allies, make conversations about PMS and PMDD more compassionate and inclusive?

Because every story shared is another step toward breaking silence, building solidarity, and rewriting the script on women’s health. Together, we can transform stigma into strength.
