Periods in Pandemic: The ignored truth

So, its another year to commemorate the Menstrual Hygiene Day only this time, it's happening on a whole new level with a ravaging virus on the loose and the World being put on a stand still.

But, the monthly visitor never cares what time it is because they will show up any way.

Pandemic or not, the river must flow but there is always an aspect I'm most curious about, how do we ensure proper disposal of those soaked supplies?

I bet you didn't know that the lockdown especially in rural communities has made disposal difficult and awkward to say the least.

Sanitary Pads can be seen folded and thrown in waste bins, heaped in bushes, burnt or even stashed in leathers and kept in corners of a room! These are hazards of the Pandemic and many other unsavory situations that could render women and young girls in a fix when it comes to disposal.

As we take a moment to salute women for being special, let's proffer solutions that make Hygiene key when it comes to reproductive health.

Let's support one another with supplies and let's show the Pandemic that it can't stop a girl from feeling confident.
