Phenomenal Woman

In the shadow of a society sinking in archaic beliefs, I navigated the treacherous waters .Where the sounds of female inferiority echoed through the walls, all around me. "Hush, don't speak unless spoken to," they whispered, a mantra that became etched into the fabric of my being. My dreams were deemed limited, my ambitions stifled by the invisible chains of gender expectations.You are just but a little girl.

I was to serve, to exist within the confines of a predetermined role, no more, no less. My worth measured by my ability to conform, to shrink myself into a mold that was never meant for me. Shame became my constant companion, a heavy cloak I wore with every step I took. Shame for my developing body, viewed as a vessel for male desires, a prey to be hunted in the wilderness of adolescence.

The mirror became my enemy, reflecting back a distorted image ,one that could never attain the societal depiction of perfection. My body, a battleground where societal standards clashed with my own sense of self-worth. 'You're filled with flaws,hide them or you'll never be good enough,' they said.And in the silence of my monthly bleed, the hush of menstrual health and the constant shame surrounding it. I found solace in the rhythm of my own existence, a reminder that I was more than the sum of society's expectations.

But amidst the darkness,a flicker of hope. I stumbled upon a digital oasis that would ignite a spark of rebellion against the chains that sought to bind me; forever altering the course of my life - World Pulse, a global community of women empowerment. 

As I delved deeper into the stories shared by women from all corners of the globe , I was inspired by the resilience, courage, and unwavering spirit from each narrative. These women were not just storytellers; they were change-makers in their own right, unapologetically bold and fiercely driven to amplify their voices and make a difference in their community.

I am a force to be reckoned with, a woman unafraid to speak her truth, to chase her dreams, to stand tall in the face of adversity. And as I rise from the ashes of conformity, I declare with unwavering certainty: I am more than society's expectations. I am a warrior, a beacon of light in a world shrouded in darkness.
