The Laetitia Ndayishimiye Foundation aspires to build a world where every individual, especially women and children, can flourish in an equitable, sustainable environment that respects human rights.

Work to improve the living conditions of vulnerable populations in the DRC and Burundi through innovative and sustainable programs in the areas of social justice, human rights and environmental protection.
Objectives of the foundation
1. Women's rights: Promote the socio-economic empowerment of women through training, economic opportunities and advocacy for gender equality.
2. Protection of children and orphans: Provide educational, material and psychological support to vulnerable children and orphans.
3. Climate justice: Combat climate inequalities by promoting sustainable conservation practices and clean energy solutions.
4. Education: Facilitate access to quality education, particularly for girls and marginalized youth.
5. Community health: Strengthen access to basic health care, with a focus on maternal and child health.
Areas of intervention
In the Democratic Republic of Congo:
The foundation works in several provinces affected by poverty, instability and climate challenges, particularly in rural and peri-urban areas.
In Burundi:
The foundation works in favor of women and children through economic empowerment, education and health programs in the most vulnerable communities.
Key programs and achievements
1. Women’s Empowerment Program:
Training of over 2,000 women in entrepreneurship, crafts, and agricultural product processing.
Access to microcredit to support small businesses run by women.
2. Support for orphans and vulnerable children:
Provision of school kits to over 5,000 children in the DRC and Burundi.
Construction of two orphan shelters in Burundi.
3. Climate Justice and Environment:
Reforestation campaigns that have resulted in the planting of over 50,000 trees in the DRC.
