India is a country with so many diversities that sometimes it becomes almost impossible to define Indian ness in a word. But one thing is common in every corner of India that is the acceptance of poverty. Poverty is man created disease but acceptance of poverty is perversion of human nature. But from ancient past poverty still exists with all its miseries. It is like an integral part of India. Poverty sells well and that is why our country is contributing quite well to this industry. One India is shinning, buying and winning the world. But the true India, the larger India is starving, stinking and losing its identity. Yes, our sons of soils are refuges in their own country. Internal migration is the greatest challenge for India now. Farmers are committing suicides because they are not getting the proper market price of their produce. Market is burning; medical facilities are unavailable to the remote parts of our country. Medicines are so costly that common people barely can afford proper treatment. Education is the most lucrative business option these days. Govt. schools are inadequate in numbers and teaching staffs. Illiteracy, backwardness and superstitions are the very endearing children of poverty. Every big and not so big cities of India has a common night scene. Thousands of people are sleeping in the streets. With day lights they vanish in to the hustle bustle of the city. After watching Slum dog Millionaire world knows everything about the beggar industry of India. How it works that we know but why it works? That is also known to everyone. We just cannot see it because poverty hurts our human emotions so we don’t like to see it. It’s a strange condition. No one likes, no one supports poverty but everyone accepts the existence of poverty, even the poorest of the poor believes it is natural. And I believe from here only the journey of poverty has emerged as almost victorious. Poverty is swallowing India.

Acceptance of misery, torture, discrimination is so explicitly visible in our society that sometimes I feel may be we are blind or maybe we do not have any soul. I believe any charity how big it may be can’t change the scenario for better. Unless and until we are changing our mindset and philosophy of life we can‘t make our country hunger free. Yes, question the authority where all those resources are gone? Where all the foods are gone? Why rivers are full of swear and toxic chemicals? Why our children are drying to death? Where India lives? Who is India and where all the humanities gone? Cliché words, many time used words but it is the ultimate key that can open the door for new India, healthy, wealthy and happy India. When each and every starved and tortured human being will ask these questions, when every malnourished children will ask why we have no food and education? Why we are poor? Of course they will come to know the fact that poverty is man created and only man can change it. And I believe it is our duty to educate our people to ask valid questions? Where there is question there is an answer too. And I know some day India will ask the question and time will give them the answer. And the answer will open the door for a new India, a hunger free India.
