Ramadan in Islam



"Ramadan" is derived from "Ramaza" which means intense heat and means burning. (1) Because in this month human sins are forgiven, this holy month is called Ramadan.

The Holy Prophet (PBUH) says: "But the name of Ramadan is the nest of sins; (2) The month of Ramadan is called as it burns sins.

Ramadan is the name of one of the lunar months and the only lunar month whose name is mentioned in the Qur'an, and it is one of the four months in which God forbids war (unless it is for defensive purposes).

In this month, the holy books of the Holy Quran, the Bible, the Torah, the Saf and the Psalms were revealed.

In Islamic narrations, this month is called the month of God and the guest of the Ummah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), and in this month, Almighty Godwelcomes His servants with full dignity and kindness. The Prophet (PBUH) said: "The month of Rajab is the month of God, and the month of Sha'ban is my month, and the month of Ramadan is the month of my Ummah." Guarantee his life and save him from the painful thirst of the Day of Judgment." (5)

This month has a special respect, importance and position among Muslims, and it is the month of their spiritual guidance, and believers prepare themselves every year by creating an introduction and providing spiritual grounds in the months of Rajab and Sha'ban. Enter this month, they are preparing for the blessed and blessed month, and with the arrival of this month with enthusiasm, giving food and breaking the fast to the needy, spending the night and worshiping, reciting the Qur'an, praying, seeking forgiveness, giving charity, fasting and...
