Reaching Deep into Villages: A Bootcamp Journey Begins

Every ambitious project demands sacrifice, and for the Project Digital team, that meant trekking over 5 kilometers through remote villages to scope out potential Bootcamp locations. We were tasked with selecting three schools per Bootcamp, prioritizing proximity. This time, the "best" option threw us a curveball. Tucked deep within the village, it was a 5km odyssey just to reach the headmasters!

Ketiplong Primary, our first stop, was familiar territory. We'd run a Bootcamp there before, making the headmaster receptive to our proposal. But the next two schools had us on edge. Rejection loomed large, and with every step, our hearts murmured a prayer for positive feedback. Honestly, walking that far for a "no" would be a major morale killer.

But the universe had other plans! All the headmasters welcomed us with open arms, beaming with joy at the prospect of a Bootcamp. Many village schools face a cruel reality: either abundant facilities with insufficient teachers, or limited resources and bare bones infrastructure.

One school even pleaded with us to cover all grades. While our resources wouldn't stretch that far this time, it was a poignant reminder of the desperate need. But here's the beauty of our model – we empower our students to become teachers, forming a vibrant community of learning. This ripple effect is our beacon of hope, and we're confident we'll make a lasting impact.
