In the Rememberance of Late Grandmother in Interantional Day of Women

My grandmother was a woman of strength, love, and endless wisdom. Though she never had the opportunity to receive a formal education, her heart always beat for knowledge. She would often tell us, her granddaughters, to study, study, and study! Education was her unfulfilled dream, but she made sure it became ours.

She was the woman I cherished the most in my life, and now, she is no longer with me. She left this world just a few days ago, and my heart aches with every passing moment. Her presence was like a warm embrace, always comforting, always guiding. She had a beautiful soul—always ready to help others, always strong in ways that left us astonished. No matter how difficult life became, she never wavered. Her resilience was unmatched, her faith unwavering.

What brings tears to my eyes the most are the prayers she showered upon us every time we left home for our studies. May Allah protect you, fulfill your dreams, and make you successful, she would say, holding our hands, kissing them with a love so pure it felt like a blessing from heaven itself. We would do the same in return, a gesture of respect and deep love.

Now, I find myself missing her in the smallest moments. Every corner of the house reminds me of her—the chair she sat in, the way she would sip her tea, the warmth in her voice as she called my name. I see her everywhere, and yet, she is nowhere. The emptiness is profound, a wound that time may never heal.

This is the first loss that truly shook our generation. My grandfather passed away when I was just three years old, too young to understand the weight of grief. But this time, I feel it. I feel it in every memory, in every silent moment where I long to hear her voice one more time.

May Allah grant her soul the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous. May He reward her for the love she gave, the prayers she whispered, and the sacrifices she made. She was not just my grandmother—she was my inspiration, my strength, my guiding light. And though she is gone, her love will forever live within me.
