Reminder: Week Two Due Plus Other FAQS

Dear Applicants,

We are almost half to the finish line! This is your gentle reminder the the second assignment - your personal stories - are due by Tuesday, March 31st at 11:59 Honolulu Standard Time.

Here are some questions that have come up over the past week:

Q. I already turned my assignment in. Did you receive it?
If your assignment has been posted to your journal and titled correctly, we have it!

Q. How many people are evaluating my assignment?
At least two Listeners per week will be evaluating your assignments. They have been instructed to leave you comments, however, some of them are using web 2.0 for the first time and are feeling nervous... so not every Listener may have left comments or identified themselves as your Listener. Our hope is for total transparency, so please be patient as we iron out the kinks in this process. Most importantly, we want you to know that your voices are being seen and heard. Thank you for showing up so fully.

Q. What am I being evaluated on?
You are being evaluated on the following criteria:

Did you complete the assignment?
Did you follow the instructions, such as word count, title format, and where to post?
Was your writing clear and descriptive?
Was your writing personal and original?
Did your article offer a positive vision?
Did your writing demonstrate leadership?

Q. I continue to post journal entries to the Voices of Our Future Group. Is this okay?
This Group is reserved for weekly assignments, updates, and questions about Voices of Our Future only.
Although we are thrilled to see that the recent journal entries by applicants have ignited conversation, this group is not the appropriate forum. We will be unpublishing all journal entries that are not weekly assignments, updates or questions that have been posted since March 15th and we will republish them and the comments to the authors' journals. Thank you for understanding.

Other questions? Please post them here!
