Resin Art Workshop As An Empowering Tool for People with Sickle Cell Disease

From September 21- 23, 2024, as part of my Goldin Fellowship program, I organized a training workshop under our Warrior Empowerment Program (WEP).

10 warriors gathered together within these days to learn how to produce artistic works like key holders, pens, book covers, page markers etc using Resin Art.

It was an edutaining few days as the warriors had a lot of fun, and eagerly and excitedly participated in the project.

It was good to revive this project which was kept on hold not only because of finances but mostly because my zeal to plan was at an all time low, following the loss of my sister.

The end results and the determination of the warriors to put this knowledge into good use towards self empowerment and economic improvement made it all worthwhile. I am always grateful to everyone who supports what we do and this time, the Goldin Institute for the sponsorship.

I am inspired, to continue this program and my desire is to be able to have willing supporters or donors who could help us fulfill this wish of trainings and more workshops for people with sickle cell disease across Cameroon and hopefully, Sub Saharan Africa. Donations can be in kind, in cash, in skills etc

You can also get a glimpse of the whole workshop in this YouTube video share here.
