SET UP, INIATIVE UPDATE PART 2

                                 This is the 2nd  in  the series of updates to my initiative

As I come here today, I am glad to report there's progress, it may be baby steps but it's progress nonetheless

I look forward to the day I can come here and announce, yeah we have gotten the 5 acres of land to begin our much needed eco system

But in the meantime, we are collaborating with others and promoting awareness on domestic violence, its causes, our experience and possible solutions

In the aftermath of a week of bloodshed in my nation, where several women were killed by spouses due to Domestic Violent situations, my heart was deeply troubled, I spent much time in pray crying out to God for the women of my nation and I was urged to find a way to let our voices be heard, to engage in conversation that will evoke change and awareness to provide information on options

We were able to connect several partners to assist a young DV  survivor, with finances, food and other supplies for herself and four month old baby as she sought to separate herself from the abusive situation and we continue to provide council and that communal support that is much needed in those circumstances. 

I  also reached out to my dear sister Sherna Alexander Benjamin to join with me to use her influence and platform to get the message out.

Without hesitation, she was on board, I'm pleased to announce we have been doing a Podcast for the last four  Fridays on Facebook live, just discussing the issue and sharing our own experiences.

We never sat down to any length discussion about the format, but fuelled by our passion to eliminate this scourge upon our land the conversations began, our Sister Musudah Mohammed is also on the panel and we were joined last two Fridays by the very experienced Dr. Mary Odum

The feedback has been amazing, God has showed up and lead our conversations so beautifully and timely, that one listener testified off being lead there in the right time to hear and be instructed by  what was being shared. We are able to reach a mass online audience ,but over 500 persons log on or view the podcast eack week

The discussions are so taught provoking that at times we go over the time frame and it seems to can go on. This is just the beginning my hard gets filled at times at the awesomeness of God to make the vision he has given us become a reality

There are times I am impatient, broken hearted, I feel helpless, but I keep pursuing hard, because I'm not a quitter, the need is great, finances are none, but I've started my third  entrepreneural  endeavour  as a source of funding.
