I plan to impact 500 out of school girls and female young adults in rural community on how to make handmade bags without owning a machine.
Due to financial constraints for most out of school girls and young adults in semi urban area, we noticed that it is difficult for them to proceed to higher institutions and also there is challenges in going to learn skills. The fund to buy the materials and instruments needed for them to learn a skill is not available and this lead to frustration and many go into prostitution and others go in to petty trade that will not bring enough will some up for unskilled job with stipend that will not be enough for them to save to buy what is needed to learn.
I planned to teach them skill of making a bag with no machine needed and from the ankara fabrics with low cost for them to start learning and making money to be able to save and latter get enough money to go back to school for those that are out of school. And young adults will be able to establish themselves in the business fully after they have been able to save enough from what they have learned.
