SINGLE PARENTHOOD IS NOT A STIGMA

Having been brought up by a single mother and four other siblings had its own challenges, there were times when we were sad other times we were happy, mixed feelings and emotions were always a part of us.Seeing my mother struggle to raise five children on her own has made me stronger and want to be a better person in this society. The joy of being surrounded by my family and the times we laughed together overrides the many times we slept hungry.Up until this day i salute my mother for educating all of us up to the university level and attaining high grades.

After all is said and done single parenthood is not a stigma,i see it as power.pain and struggles make us stronger and what does not kill you will definitely make you stronger.single motherhood has been a part of my life from my childhood up to now i have so many friends who are raising children on their own and who are striving to be nothing less than the best.I can gladly say that today i walk with my head held up high because of what my mother has made to be,envied by many because of being brought up well and being a strong woman.

I want to encourage all the women out there raising their children to believe in their own parenting style,of course i am not saying that it will be a smooth ride all the way hurdles will be there, but with hope, persistence, resilience all falls in place..It does not matter which family you came from who you turn out to be in the end carries the day.

I salute all the single mothers out there in the world
