Smile!

I’ve  learnt to smile

Oh how I love to smile

I’ve learnt to put my hands on my head and smile

Sometimes through tears

And oftentimes I guffaw

At the intricacies of life

At it’s complexities

And the imbalance of it all

For life has a way

A windy way sometimes of making you pause

I smile when I think of

Friends not so dear

Of families not so near

I’ve learnt to Say

So long

On windy days

On blistering days

And take out the suitcases, If life calls for it

And not wait around so long

If that’s the path to take

And clear my closets

Of certain clutters

And some cobwebs

And still Smile

I’ve learnt to take a walk

On lonely streets that leads to nowhere

And still find time

To pause and Smile

Even on days when my heart is soaked in tears , shattered

My soul remains hopeful

Blessings still counted

For always is not forever

Sometimes is not most times

The things abandoned can be reclaimed

Those forgotten

Can still be remembered

When you say So long!

Leave room always

For welcome back

Nothing is cast on Iron

Life is so fleeting

So often times hug

Find time to love

Take time to pause

Welcome back

Your loved ones

Smile

Even when the loads of life presses its weight on your soul

Leave room for a glimpse

A mere glimpse of hope

Find time to smile

And even laugh

For what is gone

May be gotten back

And as fleeting as life is

I got you

And you got me

So exhale and smile

It’s all about the human connections

The appreciation of life

The ululation of the world

In the face of utter madness, confusions

Even,

In the wake of our daily grind

Sour days

Smile

Impossible days

Smile

Teary days

Wear a defiant smile and face the world

For life is not in the abundance of what you have

Nor in the complexities of the pains

You go through

Nor the challenges that never ends

Nor the promises unfulfilled

Nor the voices of shame

But in our abilities to triumph, win

and overcome absurdities and pain in all it’s entireties

Our connections

The warmth of love and the embers of possibilities

The eyes of hope

And the supplications of courage

Mostly,

Makes  our life’s connections beautiful

We brought nothing to this world

It is most certain

We’ll take nothing out of it

So find time to love

Find time to give

Find time to live

Find time to serve

Put on the whole garb of your dignity

Allow yourself the freedom of peace

And Smile
