So there are girls, ladies, Karens, but no women. Guess ‘woman’ is offensive to men now

I stumbled upon Quora recently (my first mistake). I was looking on the internet to see if I was the only person who cringed every time the word “lady” is used in an authoritative manner. Unfortunately, I found something else:

”I’m not sure who it was who came up with the idea that gthe word “lady” is somehow offensive, when it has always been used to point out that a woman is refined, has character, relates to others well, dresses appropriately and is anything but vulgar. No Karens allowed in the Ladies club.”

”No. It's not offensive. A lady has manners and looks like one. Offensive would be to be called trash or a child or a girl if you're a lady.”

I’m sorry, but I can’t help but cringe. You can call women girls, ladies, or even Karens (men get a kick out of calling strong women they hate this). But you’re not allowed to call women for what they all are: women. And that’s what pisses me off. A lady, according to horny men and miserable boomer tradwives, has to be submissive at all costs, never question a man, never mention anything about herself (because apparently that is rude, duh!), is skinny, dresses “modestly” (because women who dress comfortably are all disgusting whores 🤮), has perfect skin, acts submissive, has a low body count, always obeys her husband into having sex with him when HE wants it (but never her), and must be… white. Sisters of color, you may rage now.

I guess that means the female sex has no diversity. I have the hair that looks like a witch’s, I have large portions of acne, I’m overweight, I dress like a slob, I eat like a pig, I belch and fart like a cow, I smell like a dead fish (thanks to me only showering once a week and skipping brushing my teeth for several days at a time), and worst of all, I HAVEN’T SHAVED MY LEGS FOR ALMOST TWO YEARS NOW! I am every man and trad-woman’s worst nightmare, yet somehow women like me don’t exist.

Also it’s funny women are only acceptable if we “act like ladies”, substituting submissiveness as manners, and any woman who is rightfully angry (at the injustices of our society) or has a healthy amount of self-worth (like any other human being) is a “Karen” (a term that has already lost its meaning).

In short, calling a small portion that look attractive to men “ladies” does a huge disservice to womanhood as a whole! It erases the rest of our culture, believing if we stray away from what is considered “ladylike”, we have no right to exist and deserve to be shamed just for simply being ourselves!

We are still women, so why the fuck should we have to force ourselves to be acceptable for a group of assholes who don’t deserve our attention?
