Sombhabona & ZSRM Present: "Empowering Women to Build a Strong Nation"

Sombhabona, in collaboration with ZSRM (Zahir Steel & Re-Rolling Mills), has launched an initiative titled "Empowering Women to Build a Strong Nation." This project is dedicated to uplifting underprivileged women by providing them with the skills, resources, and opportunities needed to become financially independent and contribute to national development.

Objectives of the Project:

1. Skill Development & Employment: Training women in tailoring, embroidery, handicrafts, and ICT-based freelancing to ensure sustainable income generation.
2. Entrepreneurship Support: Helping women start small businesses through mentorship, financial literacy training, and access to microfunding.
3. Women’s Economic Empowerment: Creating a network of empowered women who can contribute to their communities and inspire others.
4. Social & Financial Inclusion: Ensuring that women from marginalized backgrounds have access to financial services, employment, and decision-making platforms.

Implementation Plan:

• Training Centers: Establishing multiple training hubs where women will receive professional training in various trades.
• Business Development Assistance: Providing necessary tools, market linkages, and business mentorship to help them start or scale up their ventures.
• Employment Opportunities: Connecting trained women with garment factories, corporate clients, and freelance work platforms.
• Sustainability & Growth: Developing a self-sustaining model where trained women support and mentor new participants, creating a cycle of empowerment.

Impact & Expected Outcomes:

• Over 2500 women will receive training in the first phase.
• At least 70% of the participants are expected to secure jobs or start their own businesses.
• Women will gain financial independence, reducing poverty and fostering a stronger economy.
• The initiative will promote gender equality and contribute to long-term social change.
