SOWING A SEED OF LOVE AT GAMODUBU CHILD CARE TRUST

Save A Woman family took a tour to a small village at Kweneng District, on the 1st February 2025. Welcoming the month of love with great works of love at Gamodubu Child Care Trust, a shelter for children aged between 0 - 20 years. Children adopted at Gamodubu are of various backgrounds. The shelter is founded by Mrs Shirley Madikwe working hand in hand with volunteers and sponsors from different sectors.

Raising a child is demanding, imagine raising many. And no human has super powers... Mrs Madikwe and her team needs all the support they can get from the government, council, private sectors, entrepreneurs and all individuals. Your contributions can absolutely make a difference at these kid's home. Remember, we are not doing it for anybody but for the goodness of the Lord and definitely for the innocent souls, blessings from God.

Well, Save A Woman family visited the shelter to Launch the annual movement of RELATIONSHIP REMEDY AWARENESS, which is more based on love related issues. Our main concern is, we encounter Gender Based Violence, Passion Killing, Assault, Suicide, Depression, Mental Disorder, Verbal Abuse in love related relationships of which all the above mentioned situations are totally in no way related to love. So why are we tarnishing and degrading the value of love?

Nevertheless, we found it fit to go back to the crossroads and see how we can impact our children in teaching them the proper meaning of love. By giving them love, showing them love, explaining to them what love really is. Because in most cases, all these unpleasant behaviour we see on adults are effects of how they were raised. In Africa it's a norm that a men must beat his wife and children just anyhow and anywhere he wants, women can verbally abuse the husband and children anyhow. This is the culture children adopt and believe that it is the right thing. On the other hand, when children grow up to realise that they were wronged they develop trauma, they carry anger, bitterness, and that's exactly what they are going to spread wherever they go.

As a plea, let's pay attention on how we raise our children, we would never turn back the hands of time. Let's be considerate of their emotions, they are human beings.... Are we building these children or breaking them? Remember, there is nothing wrong with repremanding anyone but there is something wrong with abusing someone. Godisa ngwana ka mafoko aa go tswa mo Save A Woman, "JALA PEO YA LORATO MO BANENG E TLE E UNGWE LORATO MO GO BONE." Ruta ngwana gore, "RATA MONGWE KA WENA JAAKA O ITHATA...."
