STOP THE KIDNAPPINGS

My vision in 2025 is to live in a country that respect human rights and freedom of expression !!while many of you were ushering 2025 with party, wine , music, family gathering my fellow young activist were being abducted for criticizing the goverment for their dictetorial way of leadership, they were kept with no form of comunnication for days and once their families came out to protest their cry it caught the attention of international community that demanded their immediate release . the kidnappings are making headlines because this young university gradudates are either killed,traumatized mentally after their kidnappers cutting short their dreams just for speaking the truth. the fear among young people in this country is unbelivable.the funny part of it the kidnappings are happening in broad day light in fact they are caught in cctv. the goverment is forgetting that we live in digital age someone somewhere will see something african streets have bikers that transport people they have digital smart phones they will see the kidnappings same to shoe shinners , roadside hotels the street vendors have smart phones they record and post it online once it goes online in no time it will be trending.as a young person my fears have grown worse every time i walk outside my house i dont know what to expect i have to say a prayed for GOD to protect me and let me come back home safe there are so many young people that have gone missing with no trace and if they are found they are dead ,i had an opportunity to talk to young guy who was previously kiddnapped and released he tells me his life , his movements , his home is always monitored his life is never the same again after what he went through on the hands of the abdactors. ever since gen z, demonstrated the government has become so insecure to anextend of introducing law to cyber to have a logg- in- software whic records events , actions and messages that occurs when computer program is running so that they can track everything young people are doing,so many , learned, young people are jobless they spend so much time in social media and they have so much information at hand. when i look back before this administration came to power as a young person they promised us heaven, their manifesto was for younger generation we could vision change , job creation so we voted with all our hears and soul but two years down the line we are the enemy for calling them out because they lied. if it were not for shoting , kidnapping and intimidations we could be out on the streets life has become unbearable for young people depression and aniety is the thing consuming young people soul here i like how religious leaders have tried to call the government to deliver its promises to its citizens, i like how embassies have come together with joint statement to call on the goverment to respect the rulle of the law and a bide by the human rights acts, i like how local and international human right groups have call on the same administration to respect its citizzen it gives me hope but again there is no hope here we live in fear of abdactions for criticizing bad government . every time you switch on television to see whats going on all you get is bad news , full of deaths , abductions , businesess clossing and leaving the country because of high taxation that lead to more job losess .so please 2025 i'm with little faith with baby steps please help me and other come over this i have never been this fearful in my life with my sorroundings my steps, what i share , who i have convesation with, i think hard before i talk my dream this 2025 is to not stress mysel over things i cant change . its been two years since this administration came to power i was hopeful about change as a young person even though i have learn mylesson that its not always about what politician said but its all about how politicians manipulate the minds of its citizens to be in power only for them to show their true color after they have been elected i now know that the next time people go to the pollings they will vote based on accountability not tribalism. 2025 please i beg you dont take advantage of my weakness to put me down be of purpose to me let me see better future in the coming days, let me work on my dreams let me achieve my goals in the next six months no matter the hurdles pleas dont let me dwell on the negative that is thrown on my face every time i want to put myself out there. 2025 i'm talking to you ifimade it through post election that was bloody and full of death but i pull it through so i'm hopeful i will do better , i will overcome the fear that is brewing deep inside me i dont want to go back to depression that is consuming many young souls in this country many young people are not talking about their fear they choose to take a way this sweet life , 2025 i look forward to living my life doing me , investing in my , helping others , encouraging other who need my help , inspiring others who are giving up so that when it comes to an end i want to look back and see how i never gave up on my dreams just because of things i would have accepted and live with it or ignored and learn to live the best life i deserves.please 2025 i wont be scared of you but i'm so ready to face you with all the tools i have to se me inspire myself to be the best version of me
