Story 3 : " I Am the Girl Behind the Veil"

#VoicesBehindTheVeils

I am the girl behind the veil.

You see silence but I carry storms.

You see surrender but I hide survival.

Every morning, I wear my courage like fabric.

Every night, I wash my tears before anyone sees them.

They think I am quiet because I am weak.

But they don’t know I learned to whisper when screaming brought punishment.

I learned to smile when breaking down was not allowed.

I learned to survive in a world that never listened.

Sometimes, I press my hand against my chest and feel my heart screaming

“Don’t call it silence… call it strength.”

I am not asking for sympathy.

I am asking for space to exist, to speak, to be heard without fear.

Because every veil carries a story.

Every silence holds a voice.

And I…

I am no longer hiding.

My voice is rising for me, and for every woman who was told to stay quiet.

(When I wrote this story, I didn’t just write about one girl

I wrote about every woman who was told to stay quiet, every heart that learned to hide its pain behind a smile.

To me, this isn’t a story of silence it’s a story of strength disguised as stillness.

Because every veil doesn’t hide fear… sometimes, it hides fire.

Through #VoicesBehindTheVeils, I want the world to see that our silence is not weakness

it’s the language of survival, and it deserves to be heard. )
