Building the dreams our mothers could not

The House She Never Built Foundation (THSNBF)

Inspired by the life and legacy Of Gladys Onyeche in a Story Titled: “Her Only Crime Was Speaking Out (A Live Story of Injustice, Betrayal, Conspiracy but Yet Found Peace)

Vision Statement

To build a society where every woman, regardless of her background, marital status, has the freedom, resources, and dignity to build her own “house, Business and Career”, a life of peace, justice, and independence.

Mission Statement

To empower women and girls through education, economic inclusion, and peacebuilding, transforming inherited silence and injustice into platforms for leadership, livelihood, and legacy.

Objectives

 Women’s Economic Empowerment: Provide training, seed grants, and cooperative support for widows, single mothers, and low-income women to start or expand sustainable businesses.

 Voice and Justice Initiative: Create safe spaces and community dialogues where women can speak out against gender-based discrimination, economic exploitation, and cultural silencing.

 Peace and Reconciliation Program: Promote conflict resolution and restorative peace within families and communities — inspired by Gladys’ choice of reconciliation over revenge.

 Education and Skills Development: Offer scholarships and technical skills programs for girls, especially in rural and marginalized communities where education for girls is often denied.

 Legacy and Storytelling Project: Document and amplify stories of women like Gladys, whose resilience and moral courage inspire others to rebuild lives and communities.

Inspirational Foundation Storyline

“The House She Never Built Foundation” was born from the story of a woman who lost everything she worked due to betrayal and conspiracy from her husband and his family, for yet she still chose peace. She dreamed of a home she could call her own, but betrayal, Conspiracy and silence stole that dream. Her courage to seek reconciliation instead of revenge became the cornerstone of this foundation. Globally, her story would be a source of inspiration for women who are rebuilding their lives and realizing their dreams.
