The journey not well penned!

In bus number 12,

I boarded and sat well.

Slowly but surely

we were getting ahead.

The bus took halt ,

Boarded a girl unknown.

The girl, the tale ,

the fight against her fate

to be shared.

OH it struck 12,

and her phone constantly rang.

Tensed and upset but

lady so brave.

She ran from the destiny

that wasn't written by herself.

I saw the tears in her eyes,

and voice full of pain.

Voice that screamed in despair,

"You told me to get back,

I unboared midway.

You kept constantly screaming,

Never understanding what I felt.

I wasn't eloping,

I was on the way to meet my dad.

But now I'm getting back,

with tears and disgrace

I unboared midway.

Maybe your ego

will now settle down well"

And she hung up the call,

with trembling voice and

mournful face.

Who was she?

I never knew.

But few things I knew,

the pain, the pressure

never let her choose,

never let her choose herself.

The journey not so well penned,

cause she never wrote her tale

as her pen was snatched.

A note for readers.

This is the true story of a fellow traveler whose pen was snatched. By the pen, I mean the freedom and liberty of living her life and making her own choices. My heart goes out to the lady, but I couldn't gather the courage to approach her as a stranger. I don't know how many people, specifically the women of our nation, are still living a life full of pressure and constraints, a life that has been imposed on them. This makes me feel and understand that "our freedom is very underrated." We must value our freedom and those who fought for it because there are still many who yearn for it.
